Meredith had a wonderful time meeting all of Bobby's relatives this Christmas (well, not ALL, but several). Here are pictures from our Christmas in South Dakota and Wyoming. We had a great time!

Meredith Meets Santa
Christmas Eve Meredith met Santa. She did a great job and was so sweet to whisper to him about what wonderful, loving parents she has. She asked for Baby Signing Time DVD's and is excited about starting to learn ASL at such a young age.
That night, we opened our presents by the tree before we left early the next morning for South Dakota and Wyoming. She was very excited about her Baby's First Christmas Ornament that Santa put in her stocking (a little early since we were leaving) and LOVED the beautiful dress that her Godparents, JR and Kristen got for her (as you can tell). After that, nothing could thrill her more than eating the beautiful paper that came on the gifts. At this point, anything she can get her hands on goes straight to her mouth.

Christmas Time
Here are a few pictures of the days leading up to Christmas. We had a lot of fun and got pretty worn out at times too. Sorry these are going up so late. By the way, I was made aware during our trip to Wyoming, that several of the pictures in the slideshows do not show up correctly when being viewed on a PC (I am going to refrain from making a condescending joke about such issues being caused by the crudiness of a PC. I also am not going to take this opportunity to get on my soapbox about how everyone should own a Mac because they're simply the highest quality, glitch-free, easiest computer to operate). Anyway, apparently if you are having trouble viewing the pictures on the blog, simply click on the pictures and it will take you to the picasa web albums page where the pictures are stored. Enjoy!

The Big 4 Months!
Meredith is 4 months old now (this past Saturday), and is growing and changing so much right before our eyes. She had a great checkup at the doctor Monday and we got the go-ahead to start rice cereal. We (Bobby, Jaime and the Doctor) are not only hoping that Meredith will enjoy the transition to "solid" foods, but that the thicker substances will help reduce or eliminate the reflux issues. The first few attempts I am not sure she really got very much down at all, but we are all starting to get the hang of it and I think she may even be liking it now. Either way, the pictures are ADORABLE (if I do say so myself)!

Oops! I did it again!
Yep, you got it! I rolled over again today. It still wasn't exactly intentional, nor was it nearly as thrilling for me as it seemed to be for Mom, who was again cheering and smiling and acting overly excited about the whole incident.(And they say I over-react to things.) Maybe I just don't get it. She takes me to my play mat, sets me down on my belly, which she knows I do not like. I fuss and kick a little and... before I know it, I'm on my back. You can tell from the pictures she snapped just moments after the "big event" just how happy I was about the whole thing.

Rolling Over
Just moments ago, the baby pictured was seen rolling over, ON HER OWN, for the first time! She was not too thrilled when it was all over, but her Mother was giddy with excitement and pride.

Our Trip to New Mexico
Saturday (November 21st) afternoon, Meredith went flew for the first time in an airplane; we flew from Savannah, Georgia to Killeen, Texas. We got the news on Friday that Grandpa Maness (Meredith's Great Grandpa) had passed away. Dad could not come with us without getting cleared for emergency leave, so Meredith and I (Mom) went alone. It was great to see family! Meredith was wonderful on the plane rides (we had two planes each way) and slept for the majority of both. We also rode in the car for 11 hours each way from Waco to Las Cruces with Papa and Nana Robbie. Meredith was SUCH a trooper! Mom couldn't have been more impressed, pleased and proud. It was very exciting for Meredith to meet her great aunt and uncle as well as several other close friends and family members. She really loved playing with her cousin Joby-- I'm pretty sure they are going to make great friends. Dad (Bobby) was able to get a flight out to meet us in New Mexico Monday night and fly back from Killeen with us on Friday. We had a great Thanksgiving with Papa and Nana Robbie. We will post those pictures shortly.
