Fun Day Friday

On Friday, Mom and Meredith went out to a farm just outside Savannah with our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) friends and had a great time! We went on a hayride through the cow pasture and watched the mommy and baby cows chew their cud as they rested in the afternoon sun, we watched the chickens, saw bunnies, pet a baby chick, stared in amazement at a squealing pig that some older children were petting, looked at a few turtles and accidentally pet a horse! What a day! We thought we were home to rest and relax after such an exciting and exhausting morning, but we found out that Dad was in a golf scramble on post and went to cheer him on. Meredith absolutely LOVED the golf course and watching everyone play. We are still working on the "silence during a swing" rule, but that's never an easy one for a girl-- especially a girl with so much to say! (And no, we are not referring to Mom...) After the 9th hole, Dad let Meredith take a turn on the green. Watch out Tiger, she's gonna be trouble!

Love, Meredith

bhnhm,iokkk

Meredith was typing a blog entry for the first time (since normally Mom is very cautious and particular about how her things-- especially her computer, are treated) and POP... there went the K key...right off the keyboard and onto the floor. We'll see how long it is before I try to be "fun" Mom that lets the baby "discover" new things like keyboards on computers again. I really was trying not to be overly protective and restrictive and this just proves that sometimes there is reason to be. Oh well... as you can tell we can still type "k's" there just is no pretty black plastic key to label the button. Putting this one in the lessons learned column and moving on. Enjoy the fun pictures from the past few days.

Beautiful Easter Weekend with The Briggs

Praise God! Jesus is risen! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. The weather in Savannah was absolutely beautiful this weekend and we enjoyed our time outside. Meredith went on her very first Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning and another in a square in downtown Savannah on Sunday afternoon. Meredith won a "door prize" at the hunt on Saturday and then came home and crawled for the first time!!! She has been so close for so long that we decided to keep trying to encourage her... we placed Mom's black purse (that Meredith loves to play with) just a little ways away and she crawled straight to it! It was an exciting time for all of us. She was just beautiful Easter Sunday in her pink dress that Aunt Jenn sent from England, as you can see, even during her pre-church nap with Dad.
