Oh baby! Tuesday can't get here fast enough!

I have slowed down a LOT in the past few days and mainly just sit or lie down; it's pretty pathetic. However, today I was blessed with a great new haircut (a tremendous blessing after the last disastrous experience almost 3 months ago). I feel so much better just from the cut that I think I can actually make it until Tuesday miserable as I may be. :)

(The pictures were taken on my phone, so probably not the best, but they're pictures.)

36 weeks and 5 days... Amnio tomorrow

We go in for another amnio tomorrow. My MIL, Shelly, will be with me. Bobby and Meredith will stay in Sierra Vista for the morning and await the results before heading to Tucson if we induce. My belly grows with every day and everyone is getting anxious, but we all want God's perfect timing and healthy babies.

Thursday's sonogram showed that the babies are measuring 6 lbs. 5 oz. and 6 lbs. 1 oz.! I can't believe they're so big! We are excited to meet them. Thank you to everyone for your prayers!

32 weeks + 5 days

Do you think it's getting bigger?! We're hoping to make it three more weeks!

On Thursday, "Baby A" measured 4 1/2 lbs. and "Baby B" measured 3 lbs. 12 ozs. They're getting big! And I'm getting ready.

Meredith's 3rd Birthday!

We had Meredith's 3rd birthday party at the local self-serve frozen yogurt place, which Meredith still calls "Lovin' Spoons" in honor of her first love, the frozen yogurt place in Savannah. All she has wanted for several months now is to have a "Lovin' Spoons" birthday. We had a great time with some of her newest friends there. We missed the rest of you dearly!
Oh yeah, AND I made fun cupcake cones. :) I was so proud of myself; they looked great and were really easy!

29+ weeks belly pictures

As of Thursday, Baby A was 3 lbs. 2 oz. and Baby B was 2 lbs. 13 oz., which is right on track! I can't believe there is currently 6 lbs of baby in this belly (even though some days it is "painfully" apparent to me). :) The doctor says they look great and so do I. We are hoping to get another 5 or 6 weeks in before they arrive!

False Labor

So, last Sunday during a trip to Los Lunas to see my Mom, sister and nephew, I started having contractions. Since we were 6+ hours from home, and were set to drive back that day, Mom drove us home (which is the only place I wanted to be once they started). Thankfully they were not indicative of "real labor" and after a trip to the Sierra Vista hospital (not the hospital where I will deliver), it was decided that I will not deliver for 2 weeks at least. The contractions continued for 36+ hours, but thankfully they are over and we are all fine! Thank goodness for Mom who could be here to help with EVERYTHING but especially Meredith.

26 week belly pics

Ok, so apparently since there are only a select few outfits that fit at this point, I am wearing the EXACT same thing as in the last pictures. (Usually, I would comment, "how embarassing!" But, at this point... whatever. It fits, I'm wearing it.) Maybe it helps for comparisons sake? The doctor says both boys look great and appear to be keeping pace with one another in growth, which is the most important.

Also, for your enjoyment and comparison purposes (once again), I have included a picture from when I was 39 weeks pregnant with Meredith. (Bottom picture, not in slideshow.)

Swim Lessons Too!

This week Meredith's been finishing a Mommy and Me swim class at the community pool and then just started a more advanced one at this lady's home swim school. She LOVES the water and LOVES swim lessons. She's becoming quite the little fish! I really like this new swim class she's in too; the teacher is great with her and she's advancing so quickly. Today it was like she couldn't keep her head above the water; she was going under every chance she got!

Tumble Tots

Meredith has just joined Tumble Tots at Thunder Mountain Gymnastics here, in Sierra Vista, and LOVES it! Thanks to the SKIES tumbling class on post, she was well prepared for the stretching and tumbling they did. However, this is going to be a fun and challenging class, where she will learn several different apparatus in a gymnastics gymnasium. Just look what she did on her FIRST day!!! By the way, she went the full 45 minutes in a big girl class WITHOUT Mommy!

Horseback Riding at Buffalo Corral

We took Meredith to the stables at Ft Huachuca Saturday where she got to ride a horse on a "lead around" for about half and hour. She had a great time riding Kelly (even though she was convinced his name was/should be Max, like the horse on Tangled). We all had a great time! When we were standing in line and she heard she got to ride, she said, "Mommy! It's just like my birthday!!"

24 week twin sonogram

From 24 week twin sono

From 24 week twin sono

The appointment today went well. Thank The Lord for a friend that could keep Meredith while I went! Both boys look fine and are growing quickly; "Baby A" (top pic) is 1 lb. 9 oz. and "Baby B" (bottom pic) is 1 lb. 6 oz.! No wonder I've gained 5 lbs in the past two weeks! If we keep up at this rate I'm not sure what kind of apparatus we may have to construct just to hold my belly up. :)

(And, just for clarification, someone is always kicking the other in the face. Today, those are Baby B's feet in Baby A's face. Silly boys.)

24 week belly pictures

Ok, so it's not a "cute day", but here are the 24 week belly pictures. Doctor's appointment and sonogram on Thursday. We'll let you know how it goes!

:( Tomorrow...

Don't be too mad. I left my camera card in the computer after downloading pics this afternoon and therefore did not get any more the rest of the day. You didn't miss much. :) When we got home, I changed into PJ's without thinking about the belly pics and thus will have to postpone until tomorrow. I'm sorry!!!

4th of July

This is what we've done so far. I will post pictures from this afternoon's cookout and even some belly pics later on tonight. Happy Independence Day everyone!!! (And in case you can't read her shirt in these pictures, it couldn't be more appropriate... "Miss Independence".)

Thank The Lord for RAIN!!

We got lots of good rain this evening for about 45 minutes! It was such a blesssing! The land and people here were both in such need; let's hope it put those fires out! Thanks for all the prayers. Meredith has probably never been so excited to see rain before... EVER!! Me neither, for that matter.

Sonogram Says...

It was a long day and a very disappointing first trip to the doctor in Tucson (because I was not going to get an ultrasound at all and they were not very helpful), but in the end, Bobby saved the day with a call to the social worker for that office and got us in for the long-awaited sonogram. Sorry this is posted so late... at least we're not having to wait until the 17th, which is what we were told originally. :)

20 week belly shots!

(Sorry I can't seem to get picasa to make them bigger without doing the weird cropping thing.)

Ok, so here they are... the long awaited belly shots. Remember, this is 20 weeks (and sick with a sinus infection)! We're just over half way there (since we probably won't make it 40). Tomorrow will be the big announcement... stay tuned!

Princess Meredith

Meredith's favorite new thing is dressing up like a princess. She was Belle every day until we gave her a Rapunzel dress the day the movers arrived with all of our belongings. Now, she's Rapunzel every day! :)

20 week ultrasound TOMORROW!!!

Just a heads up for anyone actually checking this, we have an appointment with our new OB/perinatologist tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 Arizona time (West Coast Time). I will post something on the blog once we're home and know what we're having. :) I also promise belly pictures within the next 48 hours.

Amelia's Island Vacation

So far it's been a relaxing and fun week! (Thank you, thank you, thank you Warrior Vacations!!) We only remembered to start taking pictures yesterday, but you'll get the idea. The first picture is the view from our room/porch. We have enjoyed golf cart tours, pool time, the beach, golf, s'mores on the beach, and just this morning, Bobby and Meredith are taking a bicycle ride together.

Tomorrow the island vacation comes to an end and we start our cross-country driving adventure towing the Explorer behind us. (Watch out I-10! We'll be blazing a trail at 55 MPH!) Sierra Vista, AZ, here we come... eventually.

The twins at 12 weeks, 6 days

They may be in separate sacs after all, making things a lot less risky for all of us. Both are growing well and at the same rate, which is important. They were absolutely adorable and a few times were both sucking their thumbs while facing one another! :)
(Thank Lauren for prompting me to try to start the blog again. Thanks Lolo!)
